A dreadful era of jingoism.

The 21st century has so far witnessed several changes which were uncommon in the past century.
In that series of changes,one of the most substantial change is that of the transformation of ideologies.
Ideology plays a vital role in the development of a nation but not always.
In this changed scenario of ideologies we have a term which is often discussed about 'Jingoism.'
Jingoism is an extreme feeling which proactively adheres its allegiance to the use of force instead of preaching peacefulness.
It encourages all the brute actions which can serve the interests of a nation.
When the world is on the verge of a full-fledged nuclear war it becomes pertinent to do away with this and to enact the best possible ways to overcome this ideology.
Sometimes minds filled with such mindset tend to hate the benefits a country can get by peaceful means.
To some extent this ideology may suffice but in the long run particularly in this nuclear era remaining glued to it would be like asking for trouble.

The crisis in Sri Lanka.

Indian foreign minister Jaishankar landed in Sri Lanka on last Sunday on his two days official visit to the island nation. There he was scheduled to hold bilateral talks specifically focusing ways to eke out Sri Lanka from the ongoing economic crisis. Sri Lanka is not a newbie to crises. Uniform Civil Code - Is India all set ?

Winding up party’s electoral campaign, chief minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami made a promise what can be termed as talk of the town sort of stuff, implementing Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the state. Since, BJP has triumphantly trampled on the anti-incumbency wave, and has become the only party to retain the power consecutively, since the inception of the state, it remains to be seen how the party would fulfill this electoral promise.  Indian constitution speaks about UCC under in Article 44 under PART-IV titled as ‘Directive Principles of State Policy’.
